Space Travelling Gods

Are Gods Space Travellers? When ISRO, CNSA, JAXA, RFSA and NASA run behind trying to find an extraterrestrial being, we the moral religious organisms run behind human made gods to find out how could it could help us when it is like a zillion galaxies across space and time.

Am referring god as an "it" because I don’t want to create a gender biased god.

In my childhood I heard a folklore story about the creator of the world, Brahma whose single day is accounted to be a 1000 years. For an atheist this would be a humor to laugh upon. For a scientist this would be an idea to spark up on.

A story from the Bhagavata Puranaa,

King Kakudmi was a descendant of the Sun Dynasty (Suryavansha). Kakudmi had a daughter Revati who was ready for her marriage but couldn’t find a right partner for her beauty and worthiness. King Kakudmi then decided to seek the advice of the creator Lord Brahma. He travelled along with his daughter to Brahma-Loka (The Planet where Brama Lives).

Arriving upon, They saw Brahma was listening to a musical performance of the Gandharvas, so they waited patiently until the performance got over.  After the performance Brahma saw Kakudmi waiting for him, Kakudmi bowed humbly, made his request and presented his shortlist of candidates. Brahma laughed loudly, and explained that time runs differently on different planes of existence, and that during the short time they had waited in Brahma-Loka to see him, 27 chatur-yugas (a cycle of four yugas, totalling 108 yugas, One Yuga is equal to 12,000 years, so 12,96,000 years have passed) had passed on earth.

Brahma said to Kakudmi, "O King, all those whom you may have decided within the core of your heart to accept as your son-in-law have died in the course of time. Twenty-seven chatur-yugas have already passed. Those upon whom you may have already decided are now gone, and so are their sons, grandsons and other descendants. You cannot even hear about their names. You must therefore bestow this virgin gem (i.e. Revati) upon some other husband, for you are now alone, and your friends, your ministers, servants, wives, kinsmen, armies, and treasures, have long since been swept away by the hand of time."

King Kakudmi was overcome with astonishment and alarm at hearing this news. However, Brahma comforted him, and added that Vishnu, the preserver, was currently incarnate on earth in the forms of Krishna and Balarama, and he recommended Balarama as a worthy husband for Revati.

Kakudmi and Revati then returned to earth which they regarded as having just left only a short while ago. They were shocked by the changes that had taken place. Not only had the landscape and environment changed, but the human spiritual and cultural evolution was at a massive change which they could fathom imagine.

Albert Einstein’s “Theory of Relativity” explains the concepts of space time in which you can find this story being a space travel scenario in which the time works different in different planes

Considering Lord Brahma as a space traveler from an “X” galaxy who travels to earth, meeting a person here and traveling back to his galaxy means a single day for him. But considering the gravity, time, space and other nuances, for us it could be 1000 years. So next time if Lord Brahma comes, takes a friend for a ride to his Galaxy from earth and when he comes back to drop his friend, the friend would have outlived a 1000 years.

So when you imagine, A modern space traveler from the past could be a present space traveler, so could be a future space traveler. If you equate this story to our theory of Gods, be it Abraham, Brahma, Zeus or any immortal god you name, it makes them as a space traveler.

So I come to this inconclusive state where I question “Are gods really space travellers?”
